George & AJ

Ever wonder what happened to the two guys who tried to haul Carl off to the retirement home in "UP"?  Well, okay, me neither, but here's a pretty fun little movie that shows just that.  It's in storyboard form and also appears as a bonus feature on the iTunes download version of the movie. This link is from the official Pixar facebook page, which I didn't even know existed.  Enjoy!

I'd love to see this as a finished piece, but it still works great as an animatic. Fun stuff!

one imbecilic question comin' right up: what's going on with Pixar these days man??... :D
I just saw an animated short they did with the characters in Up. it was boring, and really, the last couple of features, although look great and the animation is fantastic, story-wise they kind of... well... they're not entertaining. and so I'm thinking - maybe it's because I'm not a kid, and that's the targeted audience. but monsters inc was entertaining for all ages, and really funny, I laughed my ass off watching that movie. it was fresh and smart. Up's trailer seemed promising, and funny, and they announced it as the funniest pixar feature... well... it ain't. and it's not because I had high hopes about it. I went to see Up with just the hope of being entertained and drool over the awesome character design and the detailed pixar environments (not of watching the greatest animated movie of all times). the imagery was indeed awesome, but the entertainment part was not there :|

Hey Victor,
That short was really funny.. I wished they would have included it in the DVD/Blu-Ray tho!

I've got a couple of questions for you.. last night I was watching a special that showcased just about all of the Pixar shorts made. They showed a CarToons short featuring Mater and a UFO? Was that new for the special? Also, I noticed that Tokyo Drift Mater wasn't on there. Are there plans to ever release it on DVD or maybe an iTunes purchase? Just curious.. thanks always for taking the time to have a blog. :)

Carlos Fins,
The UFO short was on Disney Channel recently. As for Tokyo Mater, I don't know when or where it will be shown again, but I'm hoping for a CarsToons compilation DVD!

kikiki, it is really great. Love to watch it until the end. But, cannot do it, since my bandwith is limited.
